Is Happiness Elusive?-happiness

In search of happiness

American author and poet Henry David Thoreau expressed the following: "Happiness is like a butterfly, the more you chase, the more escape, but if you turn your attention to other things, it will come and sit softly on your shoulder. .. "

In an attempt to resolve the idea of unhappiness is an elusive quality, we mean that if we frame the negative. Given the present suffering in the world today, many of us are prepared to consider happiness as immaterial. It would be wrong to assume the following line of thought, in this case, "How can happiness prevail when there is suffering in the world?"

It would be remiss of me to answer this in an article, in which religion and philosophy have tried unsuccessfully to resolve this dilemma for centuries. I can only reason that in spite of the suffering in the world, happiness is always an achievable goal. How is this possible you may ask?

In developing countries, despite the poverty, happiness exists when the basic needs are met. Unlike developed countries, where daily life is chaotic, with high levels of stress and mental illness following a demanding lifestyle.

By developing awareness of our suffering and that of others, we lose sight of happiness as an achievable goal. Happiness can not be a fleeting experience when we turn our attention focused on it.

Many people believe that happiness is miraculously transform your life once achieved. Hence the applicant moves around in search of happiness, to find out what is contained within it.

Our hectic lifestyle, it is more difficult to achieve happiness, because our minds are constantly worried about something. Technological devices and communication are constantly competing for our attention. For this reason, many people find it difficult to be alone, quietly and without a communication device attached to them.

The pursuit of happiness is based on the release of unnecessary distractions in his life. Distractions are toxic thoughts, habits, paralyzing emotions, destructive relationships, events, commitments, etc make life easier, we create idyllic conditions for happiness to flourish.

As we move our attention to the negative aspects of life, IE the daily news, gossip and tabloid magazines, etc, our minds may be attracted to this stimulus on an ongoing basis. That's why you can not read gossip magazines once without being obsessed by the next higher stage. Our conscience must be channeled into meaningful experiences that give us joy and happiness instead.

Furthermore, the idea that happiness is elusive stems from our inability to maintain our focus on it long enough. If we believe that happiness is unattainable, we reject such an idea, become elusive. You may have heard that our beliefs shape our perceptions, creating our life experience.

Revive the happiness

Unfortunately, many people drive happiness away unknowingly by their thoughts. His constant attention to their external reality shapes your inner world to the suffering becomes the focal point of his life. Popular culture has left an indelible mark on us that we are constantly in search of our external conditions as a measure of success.

Many travel the world in search of happiness, finding new and exciting experiences to find that he left when they return home. At this point, turn their interest in acquiring more "stuff" or with some people in the hope they will bring happiness to achieve. Really the novelty wears off and soon are back where you started - difficulty filling an inner emptiness.

It begs the question, happiness happens to us? - It is an experience externally generated or user-generated experience? If we subscribe to the idea that happiness is produced beyond our control, we are thank you for this being a short-lived experience. Conversely, if we believe that we are the source of our own happiness, to be presented in everyday life. This allows for a number of reasons including proffers that we become the source of our joy, rather than assuming that it is not within our own will.

In his book The wiring of Happiness, author and neuropsychological Rick Hanson summarizes that happiness can be achieved in everyday life by applying a four-step protocol that called HEAL

       Have a positive experience
       enrich
       absorb
Linking a positive experience for him (optional)

Striving toward a goal, while pursuing her dream or passion, though it can meet the challenges, can still be a positive experience imbued with happiness. Some of the greatest inventors and creative world BC, fought successfully in their areas amid a context of pursuit of happiness.

To achieve happiness, we must communicate with our true nature. Just start looking for happiness in their experiences of everyday life and undoubtedly you'll be amazed how beautiful and welcoming their world can be. Allow the joy and ecstasy to come from within, not outside.

If you rush on daily life, connected to electronic devices with little or no quiet time, happiness will pass like a train of high speed rail.

Make a vow to honor the happiness in you. Reconnect with nature as a child. Curiosity about the simple things in life and I can assure you that happiness is not so difficult after all.
